Heart goes out to your son, to you and to your children.
My heart goes out to your son, you and your other children...Chin up and keep fighting for your son..
This is shocking, really bad form from the headmaster & co. It sounds as if you are living in 1930s rural Ireland, tbh. I strongly urge you to contact a solicitor, preferably not from Kells and get some decent legal advice. The problem here is that you and your family are sticking up for yourselves and rocking the very small boat. Keep us updated with your progress. Most importantly, Good luck
Just to say...you have my complete support...for what it's worth. As some who was viciously bullied for 12 years in school, I wish the very best for your son and hope that he doesn't have to endure the same. Check out the thread on boards.ie about this issue. http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2056595515 Be strong young man, and don't lose that cool accent!!
This is brutal stuff. The parents of these kids doing the bullying need to look at themselves and the values their children are developing. This assumes they are capable of looking at themselves and perhaps thats a big assumption. They have a huge responsibility in this matter. Does civil law affords a vector of action against them to exact compensation for the consequences of their neglect? The principal of this school and the board of managementl should be subject to civil action for neglect of their responsibilities in this matter. The principal of collective responsibility indicates a clear out of the board of management is required and that the principal should be dismissed. Beyond this the department of education needs to review how resources are being deployed in this school and at the broader question of sufficiency of resources to ensure that the school agenda is not usurped by the feral children of dulled parents. I just wanted to give you and your family my support. As a formally bullied child and a relation to a girl who is being bullied and has started to self harm I can understand your pain, fears and frustration. There is not enough done in this country about bullies. It is dismissed and ignored. I sincerely hope you get a satisfactory outcome.
